When the phone was returned to him he checked it for himself, but he could already tell on Mohinder that there was little point. He snapped it shut, now even more irritated with the situation. Of course he'd forgotten to find a charger - and let's be real, in all this chaos he likely wouldn't have found one anyway - but it seemed almost comical that a dead phone just might be part of their downfall.
