But he listened and took in the loneliness and fear and worry of this last week. The weeks prior hadn't seemed too bad and when she had a fun story to share about another kid she'd met back in Atlanta Matt managed to laugh, even if they both fell silent for a moment after with the quiet contemplation of what might have happened to that friend.
When Mohinder came back Molly interrupted herself to give him a hug too. She always did now, in greeting. She was scared not to anchor them to her after everything that had happened; every separation an ordeal and every reunion worthy of celebration.
