Matt smiled into the kiss, brushing some of Mohinder's curls away from where they'd fallen over his brow, small slightly damp tangles. He lingered because he wanted to, fingertips gently brushing along his hairline and then his cheek again. In the moment before Mohinder rolled over Matt caught his eyes and there was a perfect little moment of shared brightness there.
He laughed at the remark. Like Mohinder's, there was nothing cruel about it. Matt felt happy and relaxed and a soft laugh came naturally.
"Sorry", he said, not feeling sorry at all, and bent to kiss Mohinder's shoulder before he leaned back fully into the pillow with a content sigh. He felt Mohinder's lips against his hand and spread his fingers to link them with the younger man's.
Yeah, it wasn't even a small moment of happiness, but of downright euphoria.
"I love you too." It was easy to say because it was true. He just hadn't realized until Mohinder had said it first, just some hours earlier. He breathed out slowly, warm breath briefly touching Mohinder's neck. "God, I hope so. We deserve it by now."
Not just them, but the world, at this point. Although to be honest Matt wouldn't mind if the world decided to shrink down to their room right then. Lifting his other arm to wrap over Mohinder's stomach (and yeah, he better get used to that, as Matt held people close in a very reflexive way once they were close) he added with another small laugh, because if the man didn't know he really deserved to, "You're insanely hot, you know that?"
