Molly looked like she really didn't need to be told twice. "It looked embarrassing", she said in a way that was just as chiding.

It made Matt grin and Daphne laugh.

"Pretty wild evening then, Doc?" she questioned with another little bounce in her step. Apparently she hadn't witnessed that particular stunt of his, or not all of it. "Here's a tip: stick to the fruit punch."

Entirely too happy sounding all in all, Matt thought. What he thought loudly was, I don't like her. He pursed his lips as she observed her, and just, he really might have liked her if she didn't have that kind of haughty look about her. Beneath it was a cheerful charm.

He liked Mohinder far more. And Molly, who was looking between the adults.

"Didn't you have somewhere to be?" Matt questioned the more-or-less stranger, trying to keep the edge out of his voice, and Daphne looked back at him.

"Oh, I'm never in a hurry. Super speed, remember? Hey, nice to see you again, Doc. Molly, stay cooler than your dads."

She winked and left in a flurry of wind. Matt ran a hand through his hair and closed the door.
